Betty MOLL was born in France in 1952. She has lived in Uzès in the Gard (south of France) since 1999 which is where she first began her collages.
She has been a full time artist for the last six years, living entirely from her work. A passion for interior design has influenced her strikingly original pictures in which she combines photography, drawing, pigments and glazes.
Hers is private, interior world (literally), most often dominated by an armchair or a sofa, and not without its humorous side. Each piece contains a distillation of daily life in which the viewer is subtly invited to take the place of the missing human presence.
What might not a glimpse through one of these open windows into an interior world reveal? A secret that we thought we had forgotten?
